Questions Before You Sail?

Planning a day on the water? We’ve got you covered. Here’s what you need to know before stepping aboard Storm Lee — from gear and group size to weather and booking flexibility.

Do I need to bring my own rods, tackle and bait?

You are welcome to bring your own, we do have optional hire of rod / tackle at £10pp and bait supplied at £10pp.

Do I have to wear a life jacket?

It’s not compulsory to wear a life jacket however Storm Lee has up to 20 on board for 10 x children 10 x adults for those who wish to wear one simply request one from the skipper.

What happens in bad weather?

Safety is our top priority. If conditions become unsafe, we’ll reschedule your trip at no extra cost. Light rain is fine, but high winds or heavy seas may require postponement.

Is there a minimum age?

We generally ask for all children under 12 to have one adult with them.

I struggle with seasickness, what should I do?

We strongly advise for those who suffer sea sickness to take tablets a few hours before boarding and have them available to themselves on board. We have wrist bands available as well as water & sugar snacks to help!

Is there a toilet on board?

Yes!

How long do I have to cancel and get a refund on my deposit?

A small deposit is required per person for each booking. Any cancellations before a week of departure are fully refundable. If storm lee cancels due to weather conditions, the deposit is fully refundable should you not wish to change to an alternative date at anytime.

Am I allowed alcohol on board?

On mixed trips where passengers are grouped together by Storm Lee, no alcohol is allowed to be consumed. On full boat hires or groups of 10 where this is no mix of passengers, alcohol maybe allowed within moderation at the skippers discretion

Where do we meet the boat?

✅ Meeting Point Instructions: Please ensure you arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your departure time.
📍 Location: Swansea Marina Reception, SA1 1UN
🚢 Meet outside on the fuel berth. You’ll see a blue tower with a sign that says “VHF Channel 80” — make sure it’s the blue tower at the postcode provided.

Is there any parking?

Free Parking is available at the Tawe Lock toilets, however it's only a small car park. Pay and display is available along Trawler Road, SA1 1LB.
